After buying a ‘90s Cannondale MTB, I designed and 3D printed a custom thumb shifter that fits cleanly between the brake lever and grip. The form is minimal, ergonomic for short thumb presses, and blends seamlessly with the bar. Most people don’t even realize it’s there.
Internally, the Blip is stripped down and soldered to a connector inside the shifter housing, allowing for easy maintenance and battery replacement—something SRAM doesn’t officially support, as the units are considered disposable.
